Sent in by James Hewson Thought you might like to know that whilst walking around Branston & Mere today (24th) at 11.00, we came across a mixed flock including chaffinch, yellowhammer and at least 2 brambling (my second ever sighting of brambling!) on Bloxholm Lane (runs from Bracebridge Heath to Mere) near lane to Mere Hall (TF006653), opposite reservoir, and apparently feeding in a stand of maize.
