Painting of kitchen now complete so with my other half having to work time for a little birding. So what better than a taste of the Meditterrean. Occaasionally the water looked blue but the temperture wasn't actually Med like with the odd pocket of snow remaining. But with patience, if you listened hard you would occasionally get the explosive sound of song from the Cettis. Med like indeed Brief bursts of song during late afternoon. Eventually it obliged with decent views by the bench a few hundred yards from the car park. First in the UK for me Also a couple of chiffchaff, two buzzards, thirteen curlew, two redshank, three oystercatchers, one snipe, plenty of coal tits, fieldfare & redwing, goldcrests and all common wildfowl other than goldeneye |
