Dear Andrew,

Good to see some ringing and record collecting in Bourne Woods as they are now threatened. The Forestry Commission has been in "secret" negotiations with a developer to build an unwanted relief road through the wood. In addition to birds the wood is noted for mammals especially rare bats, butterflies and moths. There is a petition to Downing street to save it http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/BourneWood.

Best regards,

Ian
