Post subject:  Barton/Worlaby 4.4.08

Waters Edge 10am - 12.30pm, very cloudy and dull


2 Blackcap (males)
6 Chiffchaff
1 Willow Warbler
1 GS Woodpecker (female)
1 Goldcrest
Lots Goldfinch, Great Tit, Blue Tit, LT Tit.
2 Greenfinch
1 Ruddy Duck (male)
1 Coal Tit
1 Grey Heron

No sign of Redpoll or Siskin




Worlaby Carrs 1pm-5pm

Very windy and cloudy and reasonably quiet.

2 Buzzard
1 Kestrel
1 Reed Bunting (male)
Lots Lapwing
1 Pied Wagtail
1 Meadow Pipit
7 Grey Heron ( 5 of which were in a small stretch of water in one of the drains, could have something to do with the hundreds of toads mating, on a stretch of 200 yards I counted 200 Toads :shock: )

No sign of any owls surprisingly :(
