Just a warning that you cannot reach this site by travelling down Whisby Road. The road is shut for several weeks. I reached by driving to Eagle

dear chris

went down to jobs lane a few weeks agoto have a look, turned right down the track, at the bottom a single bar gate, i think the area you talk about is on the left hand side but it has got a private property sign up, don't they mind you just popping your head under the gate just to have a look?

You can view from the corner where the gate is, or you can go further along the track towards the workings and view from between gaps in the bushes. You do need a telescope though

All my visits have been at the weekend with few workmen about. I did note a young women walking her dog yesterday and sometimes there are other walkers on the far side of the workings - so what the the rules really are, who knows other than don't disturb the birds on the water. :?:
