I called in at Fiskerton Fen for the very first time on a bleak afternoon

Best birds were a pair of Shoveler, a pair of Great Crested Grebe, a couple of Cormorant and the normal wildfowl species and to think I had briefly toyed with the idea of going to Far Ings before I left home

Still perhaps once the reserve has matured a little more it will attract more
