A brisk walk round this morning between 7.45 & 8.30am. Temperature reading in the car showed 8 degrees centigrade. More like minus 8 with the constant strong wind.
Didn't see a single wader all the way round but there was the following of note;
1 Grey Wagtail (in corner nearest boat yard)
1 Yellow Wagtail
3 Pied Wagtail (no sign of White Wagtail this morning)
1 House Martin (a solitary bird in amongst all the Sand Martins & Swallows)
1 Wheatear (male)
1 Goldeneye (female)
5 Gadwall (4male & 1 female)
7 Shelduck
15 Mallard
20+ Tufted Duck
20+ Coot
2 Mute Swan
2 Cormorant
2 Linnet
6 Great Crested Grebe
2 Little Grebe

Paul.
