Spent some time at Gibraltar Point before moving on to Frieston Shore Very unpleasant with the wind spoiling everything What did I see - well it was difficult to look on the beach at Gib and nigh impossible on top of the bank at Frieston The only summer visitors I noted were one swallow and two chiffcaff both at Gib. Fair numbers of avocet at both locations Other highlights were great spotted woodpecker and sparrowhawk (gib) what looked like two snow geese on Tennyson Sands well over a thousand brent geese at Frieston Nearly a waste of a day but still it was better than being at work |
