The siskins must have been flocking up for a move - after one pair for a couple of months we suddenly got up to 15 for a couple of days - now none But a pair of tree sparrows have now arrived
The jays have also changed their habits - instead of taking the peanuts in shells they're taking small seeds which no doubt pleases the magpies and the blessed squirrel Today we had Jay magpie chaffinch goldfinch greenfinch wren blackbird Long tailed tit great tit blue tit coal tit willow tit ? or marsh dunnock house sparrow tree sparrow starling - short of an air rifle - how do you keep them off - I mean they're beautiful but God can they EAT!! collared dove wood pigeon
18 species; and that's just the ones that stop for food - not bad considering the garden is the size of a postage stamp and next doors got three b***dy cats and another six or seven live just up the road
Cheers Bob
