Many thanks to Simon Spavin for another great (if a little damp!) walk this morning around Silica Park in Scunthorpe.
Birds seen;
Blackcap
Willow warbler
Chiffchaff
Blue and great tit
Robin, wren, dunnock
Mallard and a white duck - are they called Aylesbury ducks?
Swan - pair
Coot and moorhen
Song and mistle thrush, blackbird
Little grebe
Wood pigeon
Also a distant fly by from a sparrowhawk
Nothing rare or breathtakingly exciting, but a great birding venue all the same!!

Libby.

Thanks Libby. Not bad to say we had a man in a bright red coat, a wild uncontrolable child and a dog without a lead !!

And I'm pleased to say none of them were anything to do with me!!
It's looking good for the Atkinsons warren walk - today I saw / heard willow warbler, chiffchaff, great spotted and green woodpecker, jay, sparrowhawk and the usuals.

Well done !

I used to go round silica lodge and akies warren but I got fed up of them being used as a dogs toilet and havn't been there for years

If all you saw was one dog plus owner I'll have another look

Cheers Bob
