Rog,

I arrived at 17.30 and left at 19.00 and there was no sign of the GGS, RO, HH or Wheatears but Risby Warren covers a large area and although the info I was given was helpful, I didn't know exactly which area they had been seen. Did have other sightings one of which I'll e-mail you.
Those I can mention are as follows:

Barn Owl - 1
Meadow Pipit - 2
Yellowhammer - 2
Linnet - 2
Green Woodpecker - 1

Cheers

John

Hi John ,
I went wrong to start with!!!,but where you park up,go right when throu gate near park up,as your heading right you will see a gate(a few hundred yards ahead) which you can open and go throu, straight ahead(a few feet)is a climbing style next to gate that is locked,go over that and head straight on in same direction, eventually on your right you will see some nice pasture flat green areas, the wheatears and ouzels are in there, carry on till you meet with a raised area, and look in the distance at all the bush tops for the shrike, the hen harrier was on the the top edge.-hope that helps,by the way my claim of young male may be erroneous as forsman states young birds in spring can have a pale bleached effect in spring, althou im certain i saw developing black wing tips on one occasion which to me would indicate a young male, thou ..i reserve judgement.......before the black kite experts hack me down!!!
hope that helps John.........
Roger.
