A walk across my local patch this afternoon produced three new birds bringing my local patch year list up to 100. Boultham mere - 1 Hobby low over. Swanpool wood - 1 Tawny Owl roosting in Holly bush, mobbed by Blackbirds. Roughly ploughed field just N of Catchwater drain - 1 very handsome male Whinchat. Also seen 1 Cuckoo & 1 Yellow Wagtail. |
