This afternoon Osprey plucking a pigeon in a tree Top rd Worlaby.

Are you sure about this Keith?
Ospreys only eat fish. If it was a Pigeon it was eating it was not an Osprey.

I have seen a lot of Ospreys both in the U.K.and in the States and can tell you this was certainly an osprey and the prey was a pigeon.Nothing is always black and white when it comes to nature.

Last week I saw an Osprey at Rutland Water bring a Coot back to the nest.

Apologies. I had never heard of Ospreys eating anything other than fish. We learn all the time.
