On Bardney main pit, viewable from bank of river Witham, late morning:-
35 Shelduck
1 drake Garganey
2 Avocets
2 Common Terns

Thanks for the gen.
I viewed the Bardney Main Pit from the River Witham bank 2.30 - 3.30pm today. The drake Garganey swam from the RH bank of the Pit out into the middle, giving excellent views. While I was 'scoping the Common Terns, they were joined by a solitary Black Tern which was still on the Pit when I left (3.30pm). There was also a single drake Wigeon among the usual ducks.
plus Nocton Fen :
Incl.
Buzzard being mobbed by a Carrion Crow
Mistle Thrush
Little Owl
and good numbers of House Martins and Swallows around Wasps Nest.

No sign of Garganey, Avocets or Black Tern today, 24th, but drake Wigeon still present.
