What a joke. How can birdguides simply ignore it for 8 hours? I left my house at 13:00 today for NW Norfolk with the aim of seeing Iccy (its the commonest bird I need for Britain), didn't have time to go to Spurn so Norfolk seemed a decent idea with a couple already being reported. Spent a few hours thrashing, and saw nothing. If birdguides had reported this on time I needn't have wasted the petrol and effort (I was late for work as a result!) and could have simply gone to Frieston. Birdguides have also been failing to report lots of birds this weekend (they didn't even manage to report the Rutland Marsh Sand until 21:30 yesterday evening). Wonder what has caused them to slack, thanks for at least trying to get the news out Paul! |
