As Kev didn't post yesterday the following were highlights at Gib until I left at lunchtime.

Singing Icterine Warbler and 2 singing Marsh Warblers gave a total of 9 warbler species in song.
Also 2 seperate Rose Finches. Sundry Redstarts, Wheatears and Spotted Flys.

Ed

My pc has been in bits for a couple of days and I wasnt minded to fix it last night while there was a chance to get back out and check a bit more of the reserve.

A total of three marsh warblers, two Icky's and two rosefinches were found by myself and David Wright yesterday morning. There were no other birders on site although I tried to drum up some interest from locals after the first rosefinch of the morning they were mostly not available. Although a couple of birders turned up mid morning, they inevitably departed to Donna Nook.

Fortunately, there was reasonable coverage of the main recording area, just leaving another 2 miles of coastline unvisited and unwatched !

All seemed quiet 0630-0830 this morning except for three single crossbill south.

Cheers

Kev
