Post subject:  RSPB Frampton Marsh - 30th June 2008

TIME: 19:40 - 21:05.

Did the circular walk with parents around the southern half of the reserve, and went to see how the new works were getting on. Weather was still and mild, with a great con-trailed sunset.

SPECIES SEEN:

BARN OWL - 2 hunting over marsh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D
MARSH HARRIER - 2. Imm. Male and Ad. Male

Also:

Oystercatcher - 4
Lapwing - 2
Redshank - 1 mobbing the adult male Marsh Harrier
Grey Heron - 3

Corn Bunting - 2
Yellowhammer - 2
Skylark - 3
Goldfinch - 2
Chaffinch - 6
Blackbird - 4
Magpie - 4

Gulls - Black-headed, Herring, Lesser Black-backed and 1 Greater Black-backed.

Small long-bodied mammal of some description near the car park.

DIPPED OUT ON - Curlew and the Quails, because we went the wrong way!!!!! AARG!!!! Ah well, I'll just have to go back!
