Today, 10a.m.
Having been on 14 August with Andy Sims and seen 200 or so waders on extensive areas of mud I took a friend today to find that the whole area was under a foot or more of water. Presumably this is what is intended to happen when there is a great volume of water in the river system.
Hence we saw 1 common sandpiper, 10 curlew and 1 redshank, all in flight.
I mention this as the place is a bit out of the way for most of us and may well be unsuitable for waders for a while. Cheers. Rick
