today about four oclock on my back hedge in louth four in total looks like two aduits two small ones . how many does the normal aff puting some food out to see if the come back

At this time of year it is quite difficult to distinguish adults from first year birds in the field as they both undergo a complete moult. They flock up in the autumn into large feeding groups - 10+ is not unusual. They have recently started visiting peanut feeders so that could be worth a try, John.
