Did a brief recce trip to the area round the war memorial near Fishtoft on the Haven. I'm planning to walk the entire War Memorial - Witham Mouth route on the next day of fine weather to find out what's out there, and to expand my local birdwatching places. Got caught in a sharp shower at about 15:30, plenty of cloud breaks around but got lucky dodging them outside the sharp shower.

Species seen:

1 Kestrel
3 Curlew
2 Common Sandpiper
2 Redshank
4 Common Tern
1 Yellowhammer
3 Goldfinch
Large flock of Starling
1 Cormorant over
2 Lesser Black-backed Gull
5 Greater Black-backed Gull
Many Black-headed Gull
15 Herring Gull

At which location is the LBC Bird Hide situated? I couldn't find the thing! Would anyone like to do the walk with me?

Walk down the river on the left hand side (going away from Boston) of the river as far (till your cap floats) as you can and there is the hide. Haven't been there for some years but do remember reading about vandalism of the hide a couple of years ago. Hopefully it is ok today. Do remember once seeing a dead Gannet vey close to the door of the hide
