News was put out yesterday of a probable Grey-headed Wagtail at Alkborough Flats.
I went but didn't see it.
Apparently the bird was seen again this morning, but it is distant.
From the car park take the main track east for about half a mile. Just before the hide, view the mud to the north.

The finder 'phoned the news to the Birdnet pager service on Saturday and they put it out.
For some reason Rare Bird Alert missed it but picked it up today.

Hi roy,
I may be wrong but dont you mean west instead of east? as east would send you back up the hill?maybe i need gps/satnav, roy.

Hi Roger,
When facing the Humber from the Lincs. side I always assume that east is to the right.
This is approximately true when at the bridge but with the estuary winding around as it does
it may well not be the case when at Alkborough.
If looking for the wagtail, from the car park take the first track to the right after you climb onto the bank.
