The next door neighbour banged on the door at 5.30 pm and said she had a strange coloured bird in her garden and that it had been there for 2 hours,i went round to see a Wheatear feeding hungrily on insects,very roufous buff undersides,looked a young bird,got one photo as it flew on to wall top,not digital thou,old 35 m.astonished by sighting,never had one in garden before,as it flew to tree overhanging mine,i can add to garden list!!!.
Must be the constant rain that brought it down,the neigbours have vegetables and more flowers in their garden yeilding more insects.
a superb garden record and the length of time involved.
