An inspection of our swift box under the eves revealed the entire box filled with nest material and two unhatched great tit eggs. A nestling had fallen from the (unsuitable) box earlier this year, after which the GTs apparently abandoned the site. Then found a pair of wood pigeons eggs in climbing hydrangea just above head height in a nest barely big enough for the eggs. Hope these birds learn by their mistakes!
Cheers
