A VERY windy and cold Worlaby this afternoon!! Didnt really expect to see a great deal but pleasantly surprised with the following(seen over a couple of hours)
1 Short Eared Owl 3 Marsh Harrier 5 Kestrel 6 Swallows (2 adult, 4 juveniles still being fed by parents on the wing, obviously quite a late brood??) Large Flock Goldfinch 12 Pied Wag 2 Grey Heron 2 Buzzard 1 Robin 3 Mute Swan 2 Mallard 12 Canada Geese 7 Snipe 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker 1 Cormorant over
On the way back over Barton, Osprey seen flying over with fish in talons. Also 1 Kestrel too.
A chap we spoke to briefly at Worlaby reported that at MSQ there was a solitary Whooper Swan.
