Around the patch this morning with Dean Nicholson & John Hayes:- c40 Gadwall including one male with a face pattern very like a female Red-crested Pochard. 12 Teal. c25 Shoveler. 9 Tufted Duck. 1 Common Buzzard. 2 Yellow-legged Gulls, 1 adult & 1 3rd winter. First of the year for the patch, puts me on 117. c30 Lesser Black-backed Gulls. 1 Kingfisher. 1 Swallow S. 52 Redwings, flying S in small flocks. First of the autumn for the patch. 1 Tree Sparrow. |
