I assume there has been a big influx of Fieldfares today. Three flocks all heading West on my 20 minute drive into work this morning were:-
600 - 700 at Ruskington, 100 Digby and 200 at Branston - several large parties of Woodpigeons also heading West.

How readily do Fieldfares come into gardens? Whereabouts around Boston would be my best chance of seeing them, and Redwings?

Hi Katherine
Fieldfare tend tend to like open ground such as fields. I suppose they might stray into a garden if it was large and adjacent to fields. I don't really recall ever seeing them in towns

Redwing like similar areas but you often see them in trees and bushes - perhaps they are more likely to stray into a garden or into parkland

Hope that helps

A good area near to you would be the fields around Westgate Wood, but both Fieldfare and Redwing are very common during the next 5 months in the Boston area. The hedgerow behind the hide at Freiston Shore is another good spot for them.
