TIME: 15:00 - 16:15 WEATHER: Dingy and decidedly nippy. Rain shower at one point. CONDITIONS: Plenty of dog walkers around. SPECIES SEEN: Circa 200 Black-headed Gull over 10 Goldfinch over, calling 15 Long-tailed Tit hopping along the trees 1 Goldcrest calling 1 Wren 1 Blackbird 2 Coot calling 1 Moorhen in adjoining drain 4 Mute Swan on South Forty Foot 7 Great Crested Grebe on South Forty Foot Lots of Woodpigeon over Enormous flock of Starlings heading to roost 8 Pheasant Usual Mallards on South Forty Foot No Brambling or Redwing to be seen. |
