An excellent day at Saltfleet. Birds seemed to arrive with each passing shower. Estimates of migrant numbers include 700 Blackbirds, 200 Redwings, 80 Song Thrushes, 65 Fieldfares, 250+ Goldcrests and 120 Robins. There were also 260 Wigeon over.

A Lapland Bunting flew over the Haven car park early morning and a first-winter Glaucous Gull flew south at 2pm. There were three greyish Chiffchaffs with distinctive 'eastern' calls (fulvescens-types?). Also a male Stonechat.
