Stonebridge - Horseshoe Point.
127 Blackbird
6 Song Thrush
25 Robin
1 Greenshank(In Somercotes Haven).
5 Waxwing(In the first hedge at Pye's).
1 Common Redpoll,with 4 Lesser's at Pye's.
1 female Blackcap
3 Chiffchaff
1 male Ring Ouzel(In the second hedge at Pye's).
1 Woodcock
70 Redwing
8 Little Egret
14 Siskin
1 Yellow-browed Warbler(Showing well around the slurry pit at Horseshoe Point,with a crest flock).

Not a bad day's birding considering i made the mistake of leaving the car at Stonebridge,and got the call about the Bluetail when i was at Horseshoe,walked back to Stonebridge in 35 minutes,this surely must be some sort of record,iam now suffering the consequences.

,but it was definately worth it.

Hi Steve
Where is the slurry pit?
It would have took me 2 hours to have run that distance.

Hi Geoff,as you approach Horseshoe Point,you will come to an area of trees on your right hand side,about 150 metres from the car-park,if you go into this area,there is a small slurry pond sorrounded by Willows,this is where the Yellow-browed was.It has been there for 2 day's i believe.
