Nope - for me, it's a case of being sicknoted as a result of an operation..... women have it and men can only dream about it..... is that being sparing enough with the info?

Hi,Roger,
The first-winter Steppe Grey Shrike is a first for LINCS and 'Birdguides' have classified it as MEGA = birds which are "exceedingly rare or otherwise highly desirable". Apparently, it is the Eastern form of the Southern Grey Shrike(Lanius m. meridionalis) found in S Europe and N. Africa. The Steppe Grey Shrike (Lanius meridionalis pallidirostris) breeds throughout Central Asia around the Caspian Sea and in NE Iran, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
Our bird was first reported at Grainthorpe Haven on 7th November, so it is now on its 13th day (as at 19th November).
Hope you'll be feeling much better soon and even fit enough to twitch the Shrike .......but 'visiting hours' could be running out.

Regards,

Freddy
