07.10 - 16.25. Juv. Hen Harrier 550+ fieldfare 2 Barn Owl 7 Kestrel 3 Common Buzzard 5 Marsh Harrier(3 juv,adult male and 2nd cal.yr. male). 250 Linnet 5 Stonechat(2m,3f). 3 Peregrine 37 Pink-footed Geese 1 Woodcock 3 Dunlin 1 juv. female Ruff 20 Tree Sparrow 1 Grey Wagtail 50 Redwing 4 Waxwing(Flew north past the car-park,my first patch record). 10 Mute Swan 2 Redshank Regards Steve,with Dave Wright. |

Another visit to the patch today produced the following: 2 Hen Harrier(adult female and juv.). 2 Marsh Harrier(adult male and 2nd cal. yr. male). 1 Woodcock 1 adult female Peregrine 540 Pink-footed Geese(Flew onto the Wolds from the humber). 40 Linnet 1 Jack-Snipe 4 Common Buzzard 1 Merlin 7 species of raptor in all,not bad for an inland site! 07.15-12.15 1 Bean Goose(with a small flock of 23 Pink-footed Geese,which then flew north towards the Humber). 2 Hen Harrier(adult female and juv.). 1 male Stonechat 4 Common Buzzard 1 Merlin 5 Kestrel 10 Mute Swan 1 Barn Owl 1 juv. Marsh Harrier 100 Linnet 60 Goldfinch Regards Steve. |

A flock of about 60 pink foots flew over from the direction of the Humber going towards Brigg shortly after you left Steve I also saw a marsh harrier about the same time as the geese but hadn't seen an owl of any sort by the time I left at 15:15 Only 2 buzzards for me |

We popped there 2pm-4pm, had one SEO down near the train line. Also female Hen Harrier, 2 Marsh Harrier, 2 Kestrel, 1 Sparrowhawk - also female Roe Deer. This morning also a quick look round Far Ings before going to the Xmas fair at the VC (very enjoyable + welcome it was too - lovely tea and cake!! ![]() Smew still on hotel pit 2 Kingfisher 2 Goldeneye (male) 2 Twite (edge of chowder ness) Few Bullfinch Lots Fieldfare/Redwing Few Tree Sparrows on feeders at Ness Farm M&M |
