Post subject:  Out and about 28/11.
A day out with Rick Bennett and Phil Espin produced the following

Covenham reservoir :-
40 Great Crested Grebes
118 Cormorants
1 Long-tailed Duck, on W side
1 Grey Phalarope, in NE corner
No sign of Purple Sandpiper

Donna Nook:-
1 Merlin, twice seen chasing a Skylark which carried on singing whilst easily evading the Merlin
1 2nd winter Glaucous Gull feeding on dead Grey Seal

Farththorp:-
1 Rough-legged Buzzard, seen well from second gate

Nocton Fen:-
1 Fog, thick
