Sparrowhawk visited again today - the juvenile rested for a minute or so on the concrete pillar that holds one side of the washing line up, and then flew off into a neighbouring garden. |

Possible Med Gull over - would be Lifer number 165 if I were more ID-savvy! |

There are usually a couple of adult Med Gulls hanging around Boston in the winter. I've seen them around the Stump, but Aldi car park is another bet apparently. So you never know what be flying over... |

2 Cormorant and 4 Mallard over circa 15:15. Leucistic Starling in garden roughly 11:30. Sparrowhawk (poss. immature male w/ brown back feathers and rust-red face) visited again at 14:00 but took no kill. Uses concrete washing line pillar as perch to survey adjacent gardens. If anyone can help me get Pochard, Ruddy Duck, Redwing or Long-tailed Duck and is willing to carry equipment (I can't carry anything over a kilogram until mid February) then all offers welcome. |
