3 lesser redpolls in our garden on niger feeders this afternoon. Once they were regular winter visitors with over 50 one winter 20 years ago, but there have been few recently till last winter when 3 arrived on 5 Jan followed by up to 8 siskins till April. Merry Christmas to everyone and may the new year bring you gyr falcons, arctic warblers, great shearwaters and whatever else you dream of, avian or otherwise. Cheers. Rick
