To start it was foggy down below but in places the sky was blue! 09.15 x 15.15 Long-eared Owl - 1 [courtesy of Scooter Mal] seen about 14.30. Long-tailed Tit - 11 Blue Tit - 8 Great Tit - 3 Mute Swan - 13 Willow Tit - 1 Mallard - 7 Gadwall - 2 Coot - 8 Robin - 1 Wren - 2 Bullfinch - 3 [2m 1f] Pheasant - 2 Blackbird - 3 Lesser Redpoll - 8 Siskin - 3 Tree Creeper - 1 Jay - 1 Moorhen - 11 Common Snipe - 26 Greylag - 475 [ including two leucistic I presume, they had an orange bill but the rest of them was white or near enough, never seen these before, so I could be wrong calling them leucistic, but checked all my field guides] Canada - 5 GBB Gull - 1 Common Gull - 16 Black-headed Gull - 28 Teal - 11 Shelduck - 4 Water Rail - 1 [watched for ten minutes in far corner] Magpie - 2 Crow - 1 Wood Pigs - 4 Yellowhammer - 1 Tufted Duck - 3 Chaffinch - 2 Aylesbury Duck - 1 Fieldfare - 125 One dead gull and one dead goose on the long spit on Duck Lake. In recording log today read that someone had seen 3 BARNACLE GEESE and 1 Pinkie, these must have kept out my way ![]() On my last visit managed to lose one of my thermal gloves, thankfully someone had placed it in the box in Duck Hide, so Thanks!
