Post subject:  Bardney pits/Nocton fen 26/12.
Afternoon visit produced the following
Bardney pits:-
98 Teal
38 Pochard
1 female Scaup
1 female Long-tailed Duck, first I have seen here in 36 years
2 Goldeneye
1 Peregrine flying around and then 2 perched on silo at the factory
42 Lapwings flew over

Nocton fen:-
85 Mute Swans
1 Sparrowhawk
1 Buzzard
2 Kestrels
3 Barn Owls
1 Short-eared Owl
c80 Fieldfares

Also a short Eared Owl flying about the pits about an hour before you arrived Andy
Lots of fieldfare
Several mistle thrushes
80 mute swan
3 kestrel
