Ed Mackrill reminded me that in the green list year we saw water pipits perching in the bushes near the freshwater marsh at Rimac and sure enough yesterday 3 did so after a 10 minute wait, also 5 meadow pipits present and 54 snow buntings flew north toward the haven, a female peregrine was on the beach eating prey.
