10.15 x 15.15 In total saw/heard 41 species of bird but not all waterbirds, the following are the highlights: Woodcock - 1 Tree Creeper - 3 Mistle Thrush - 2 Song Thrush - 1 Redshank - 61 Oyks - 4 Common Snipe - 26 Cormorant - 7 Willow Tit - 1 Water Rail - 1 [heard] Wigeon - 1 m [heard] Curlew - 46 Pink Foot - 3 Shoveler - 12 Common Buzzard - 3 [over Twiggy] Kingfisher - 1 [heard] Bullfinch - 3 male No sign of Goosander. Met a guy who saw 4 Whooper fly over. A most enjoyable five hours! Regards Max |
