Spent a few hours this afternoon in the hope of finding the Crossbill which would be a first ever sighting.
While I was checking the high canopy a well known North Lincs watcher arrived, no not GPC
after telling him I was looking for Crossbill we went a little further down the track. Didn't have to wait too long before he spotted them flying over and landing in the conifers, yippee 
Sightings as follows:
Crossbill - 18
Common Buzzard - 2
Grey Heron - 1
