An hour at lunchtime yesterday (22 April) produced a pair of Garganey (360 hide), 3 Blackwits, 4 Whimbrel, 2 Avocets and a Ruff. 1 Lesser Whitethroat singing from sea bank and also on reserve 2 Com Whitethroats, 1 Willow Warbler, 1 GS Woodpecker and 2 LT Tits.

I could only spare an hour due to work but like you I will return......

Cheers

Ian

Ian,
For various reasons, Richard and I spent most of our time yesterday either talking to the RSPB Staff in the Visitor Centre (Tony Blaydon was especially helpful) or sitting in the 360 Hide plus just fleeting visits to the Reedbed Hide and the Saltmarsh. So we were unable to give the Reserve our full attention and extend our limited bird list.
However, like you we plan to return there in the near future so as to give it more coverage. It really is a terrific Reserve.

Regards,

Freddy
