Ringed my first brood of Dunnocks for the year at Burgh Le Marsh this evening, before moving on to Gib to do a brood of 6 Robins, also the first of the year. We ringed the first Tawny Owls pullae for a couple of decades on the reserve, on Sunday morning, a brood of 3. Tawnies have been at least 2 weeks earlier than normal this year. I know a ringer who did half of his last years total of Tawnies in just one day on Monday - 31 chicks!! Lots more still to do though...
