Found a fresh dead female blackbird (probable cat involved), at Sloothby. Will send details to BTO. However maybe you will know something in the interim Stuart.

Metal ring, right leg, LE28222.

Hi,

Update on blackbird with ring.

BTO have just got back to me with its details:

Ringing Scheme: London
Ring Number: LE28222
Species of bird: Blackbird

This bird was ringed by Spurn B.O. as age at least 2 years, sex female on 22-feb-2012 at Kilnsea, East Riding of Yorkshire.
OS Map reference TA4115, co-ordinates 53deg 37min N 0deg 14min E.

It was found on 30-mar-2013 at Poplar Farm, Sloothby, Lincolnshire.
OS Map reference TF4970, co-ordinated 53deg 12min N 0deg 14min E.

The bird was freshly dead, found with injury (possibly cat)

It was found 401 days after it was ringed, 47km from the ringing site, direction S.
