The Birklands ringinging group have spent almost 3 weeks on part of the nnr, north of Crook Bank,(03 to 21 oct), during this time they have ringed, 9 sparrowhawks, 3 yellow broweds, 2 firecrests, 18 goldcrests, c 280 blacbirds, c80 redwings, 7 fieldfares, and trapped a German (heligoland) blackbird , the bulk of oher birds were mostly chaffinches and greenfinches, far fewer tits caught this year in comparrison with 08. cheers John. |
