Post subject:  Foreign-ringed Dunnocks

Dunnocks seldom get much attention amongst ringers, as they are pretty sedentary and are unlikely to generate ringing recoveries of more than a few kilometres or so. However, although ringing a Cetti's Warbler at Marston yesterday, Keith Bowden's best bird was probably a Belgian-ringed Dunnock !! There have only been 31 foreign-ringed Dunnocks in the UK prior to 2010, the majority from Norway; but there has already been at least 4 this autumn, 2 from Norway, one from Sweden and now one from Belgium.
