One of the Waxwings currently at Tentacroft St in Lincoln is colour ringed. It would appear that this
bird may be 'El Waxwing' as the colour combination on the left leg is red/yellow/red (Spanish colours!).

I'm waiting for confirmation from Raymond Duncan but if so, this bird was ringed in Ballater in Deeside on Oct 30th and photographed seven days later in Dunfermline.

Watch this space!

Received a reply from Raymond Duncan confirming that the colour ringed Waxwing at Tentacroft Street last Sunday was indeed ‘El Waxwing’ Details below although I'm afraid the various 'codes' mean nothing to me..... Please report any colour ringed Waxwings to Raymond at raymond@waxwing.fsnet.co.uk
