The MLRG have started a Constant Effort Site this year near Donington on Bain. On the third visit yesterday we caught 30 odd birds including a male Kingfisher and a French control male Blackcap. The most interesting bird was a male Willow Tit that had just started primary moult. This struck me as either particularly early or perhaps a failed breeder. Anyone have any ideas? |
