One British-ringed Lesser Redpoll and an Arnhem-ringed Lesser Redpoll in Bob Sheppard's garden in Bourne on Sunday 2nd December, which brings a total of no less than 12 Lesser Redpoll controls over the last 6 weeks for which we await details. (for non-ringers a 'control' is a bird already ringed by another ringer and not local to that site). First Siskin of the winter also caught.
Then just to finish off - the only Blackbird caught in Bob's garden was also sporting an Arnhem ring.

Ten of the redpoll controls were caught on passage on the coast in October, and we have already received details of one ringed there which was caught in Suffolk just a few days later.
