Found a fresh dead female blackbird (probable cat involved), at Sloothby. Will send details to BTO. However maybe you will know something in the interim Stuart. Metal ring, right leg, LE28222. |

Hi, Update on blackbird with ring. BTO have just got back to me with its details: Ringing Scheme: London Ring Number: LE28222 Species of bird: Blackbird This bird was ringed by Spurn B.O. as age at least 2 years, sex female on 22-feb-2012 at Kilnsea, East Riding of Yorkshire. OS Map reference TA4115, co-ordinates 53deg 37min N 0deg 14min E. It was found on 30-mar-2013 at Poplar Farm, Sloothby, Lincolnshire. OS Map reference TF4970, co-ordinated 53deg 12min N 0deg 14min E. The bird was freshly dead, found with injury (possibly cat) It was found 401 days after it was ringed, 47km from the ringing site, direction S. |
