We are just finalizing the 2005 Annual Report. In order to continue gaining data on population dynamics and survival it is important to continue ringing large numbers of birds of all species. To give some idea of the scale of the commitment of the eight ringers of the Mid Lincs Ringing Group, the following are the highest ever annual totals achieved in 2005. Kestrel (22), Wood Pigeon (13), Barn Owl (60), Great Spotted Woodpecker (21), Skylark (28), Wren (232), Fieldfare (12), Grasshopper Warbler (5), Lesser Whitethroat (28), Blackcap (157), Yellow browed Warbler (6), Chiffchaff (115), Goldcrest (773), Great Tit (852), Treecreeper (24), Chaffinch (430) and Greenfinch (1099).
