I noted a black-tailed godwit and curlew sandpiper a couple of weeks ago (15/09/2014) at Frampton Marsh. Both had been ringed and I have received replies from the ringers

The curlew sandpiper had a yellow tag on the left leg and a red ring on the right leg. I couldn’t read the number on the tag but the bird had been ringed at one of three ringing stations in S-Norway (Giske OS, Revtangen OS or Jomfruland BS)

This was the first sighting of the black-tailed godwit which had been ringed at Terrington Marsh on the 13th of September just two days before I spotted it
